Property versus other forms of investment
When you invest in a finance company, you're relying on someone else to make decisions on where to spend your money.
As a shareholder you have little ability to influence the business decisions that affect the share price. In either scenario you have no direct control over the investment.
When you invest in property you're investing in bricks and mortar, you retain the ownership, you retain the title and you have a solid asset to show for it. No decision anyone else makes can take that away from you.
Property investment also offers the benefits of leveraging magnifying the returns you would otherwise gain from the funds you have invested.
